DFWSEM Apr 30 meeting release

The Dallas/Fort Worth Search Engine Marketing Association (DFWSEM) in conjunction with the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO) is proud present a jam-packed information session on Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson Texas. This promises to be the biggest DFWSEM event since the group was formed in 2003. The session will cover the latest from Microsoft’s AdIntelligence team as well as an update on legal issues currently facing search engine marketers.
The group will also be raffling off one free SEMPO Institute exam (www.sempoinstitute.com), a value of up to $1,339! The event is sponsored by LeadMaverick (www.leadmaverick.com) and Business Wire (www.businesswire.com).
MSN AdIntelligence’s Jorie Waterman will be coming to Dallas from Redmond to discuss the company’s amazing new AdIntelligence keyword tools that are becoming the keyword standard for many search marketers. Waterman will also talk about a new plugin that exports keyword data directly into Excel 2007, and how to build a massive and robust keyword list in just minutes.
Rob Scott, of Scott and Scott LLP, will be returning to provide the latest updates in the legal search landscape, specifically addressing crucial topics that every paid and natural search marketer must know.
An SEO site clinic will also be featured, and attendees will have the opportunity to have their Web sites critiqued by a panel of search engine experts. The will be time for approximately 3-4 site evaluations, however there will be many professional search engine marketers in attendance to answer your questions about search optimization and marketing.
Admission is free for association members, and $30 for non-members. The April event is presented in a partnership with SEMPO, and all SEMPO and DFWSEM Association members are admitted free. Association memberships may be purchased at the event, $175 for corporate and $75 for individuals.

Waterman joined Microsoft’s adCenter as a Lead Program Manager in December of 2007 coming to the team with over 5 years of search marketing experience. Immediately prior to joining Microsoft she was the Senior Director of Search Analytics for iCrossing. Her focus has been on keyword research and search analytics in light of understanding what users want and need. This theme is continued at Microsoft with her work on the Keyword Services Platform team. In all she has been in the interactive marketing world for over a decade working client-side, agency-side, and now on the side of the engine.
